Building consumer insights into the app experience using agile sprints and UX
THE BUSINESS GOAL
ZavFit’s mission is to improve people’s health and wellbeing.
The team have built a holistic wellbeing programme, which is the ZavFit app. ZavFit is designed to be a holistic wellbeing tool to enable positive behavioural change. Unlike the finance industry, the ZavFit app measures what you spend your money on and how happy it makes you. Not to spend less, save more, but to spend in a way that has a positive impact on mental health and wellbeing.
In its initial development phases, we wanted to understand the user experience and explore with the aspirational end customer, how to maximise the development opportunity both in the brand’s offering and the app’s functionality.
Agile sprints with consumer experts. We cherry picked a handful of forward leaning, progressive consumers and ran one on one sessions with them in person (pre-COVID19). With the use of prototypes and devices we measured, tested and co-created alternatives functions on the app to identify the ultimate product offering and service moving forward.
We explored the market context – what worries and concerns 18 – 35 year olds about their spending, what apps do they use and their wellbeing needs. We created a strategic framework of opportunities and next steps in development as well as detailing the necessary tweaks in the app’s functionality. The app is launched and being positively used to improve money fitness!
